Auxiliaries and Their Functions

 

Deacons:

The Deacons are responsible for watching and ministering to the needs of the church members, the church buildings, as well as offering support and assistance to the Pastor according to Acts 6:1-8 and 1st  Timothy 3:1-8.
 

Trustees:

The Trustees are responsible for the up-keep of the Church and the overall support and implementation of the mission of the church.
 

Sunday School:

We extend a warm invitation to you and your family to join us every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.  Attending Sunday School is the best way to get involved in the life of the Church. There are wonderful teachers…teachers with spiritual depth and correct instructional understanding.
 

Music Ministry:

Four choirs are involved in this department: Sanctuary Choir, Male Chorus, Women’s Chorus and Youth Choir. All are designed to uplift the name of Jesus through song.
 

Host/Hostess Ministry:

There are four groups serving in this ministry: Adult Hosts/Hostesses, Women Hostesses, Men Hosts, and Youth Hosts/Hostesses. These groups participate in worship service and assist with literature distribution, directing and seating of worshippers, and collecting offerings during the offertory period.
 

Missionary Society:

This ministry leads efforts to maintain a mission in the Church and explore opportunities in the community and surrounding areas for an on-going mission work.
 

Deaconess:

The role of the Deaconess varies from church to church depending on the local Pastor and congregation. They mainly aid with baptism and communion.
 

Pastor’s Aide:

The Pastor’s aide is responsible for providing hospitality to the pastor and guest ministers.
 

Hospitality:

The hospitality ministry plans and coordinates all food served on the church grounds. This includes working with fellowship events and meals for deceased members’ families.
 

Audio/Video Ministry:

This ministry is responsible for recording services and making sure all equipment is in working condition and all supplies are available for successful operation.
 

Security/Safety Ministry:

This ministry is responsible for providing professional support, security, and services for the congregation and visitors.
