Dr. Ralph E. Marshall, Jr. & First Lady Yoruba Marshall

Dr. Ralph E. Marshall, Jr.

Pastor Ralph E. Marshall, Jr is a native of Decatur, Alabama. He is the eldest son of Reverend Ralph E. Marshall, Sr. and Mrs. Callie Scott. He is highly appreciative of the strong family values that they have instilled in him. Because of those values he married Yoruba L. Marshall. Pastor Marshall has six children (Tamara, Sidney, Gloria, Terah, Kiara, and Andrew). Pastor Marshall is thankful for First Lady Yoruba Marshall’s support during his moments of celebrations as well as trials and tribulations.
Being obedient to God, in 1987, he accepted his call into the ministry under the pasturage of Reverend George Smith, of the Westside Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama.
Pastor Marshall is a proud undergraduate of Alabama A&M University. As of May 2018, he received a Master’s in Kinesiology. Pastor Marshall was not done with his education. So, he continued pursuing his most desired degree at Andersonville Theological Seminary where he received a Doctoral degree in Pastoral Leadership.
He served in the U.S. Military from 1990-1996 within the branch of the U.S. Army. While in the military, in 1995, he was ordained under the leadership of Reverend Jessie Gary of the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Columbus, Georgia. He has also served as Vice President of Montevallo Park Fellowship.
He is the former pastor of Macedonia Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Pastor Marshall has been an educator and has coached basketball for over 20 years. What has also been important to him is his membership in different District Associations throughout the State and having served as Director of Youth Activities and Basketball Coach for the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention.
